A Visit to the Trapline

i

I will try to edit this post....Last Saturday we took a snowmoblie trip to our friend's trapline. Trapping season is over, but they were still staying in the bush. Spring weather is fabulous! Warm, bright, perfect for traveling. The lake was rough, tons of snow still and after all the wind full of deep drifts. Hard on the back.
We sat in the sun and BBQed bison burgers. Talked about the Winter and plans for the Spring. On the way home we got into some overflow but made it through okay. It was a great trip!

Lonf Time, No Write...

It has been quite a while since I have added to this blog. Lots of things have happened. First and most important was the death of our Principal in early January. Things are still in an uproar at school and I haven't made my final decision about staying or going. Brian was such a dynamic persona. Kind of crazy and wild, but that is what made the situation so attractive for me. I could get as creative as I wanted as long as it helped the kids. Their needs came first before any career aspirations. Not your normal school!!!!
I drove some of Michelle's yearlings in two small local 12 mile races this winter. This was lots of fun. It was a girl's day out for the three of us. No pressure and a beautiful trail. Both days the weather was excellent, the trail perfect and the dogs went well. The way it works out you have headoners with almost every team. This is an excellent for the young dogs. We aren't really racing them. They are out for a 'learning experience'. Both times we placed in the middle of the pack-not bad for not racing!
