These photos were taken around 9;30 am on January 1, 2011. Yes, the days are starting to get a bit longer. 97 seconds today! We have had a Chinook, so good bye to the -35 etc. At least for a little while. I am sure we will see their return sometime this month. Meanwhile we are enjoying the sunshine and warm weather.

I found your blog by accident last August when my daughter was working in Whitehorse so I was googling the towns she visited to see pictures of the beautiful landscape. I came across your gardening blog at that time. I am also a ceramic artist in Ontario and I like to teach clay classes for kids and adults. Your pictures and stories really made an impression on me. I love the firing notes and the pictures of Skagway seaweed collecting.
